Conventional cabling cannot withstand the extreme demands of modern industry. Vision® Electric Industrial Busbars offer a structured, highly efficient alternative to chaotic cable trays. We help you save up to 40% space during installation and minimize total cost of ownership. With our additional location in Kentucky, we can speed up delivery. Our new partners and supply chains enable us to shorten material procurement times and facilitate rapid on-site installation.

IndustryBars for high perfomances

Our high-performance busbars are used in most cases for direct current. However, all applications are customized solutions that are tailored to the respective project requirements, such as for chlorine electrolysis with 18,000 A or Aluminum electrolysis with 180,000 A.

Special knowledge and experience are required to carry out the detailed design in order to optimally combine the respective plant technologies with a wide variety of manufacturing processes and the right materials. We would be happy to advise you!

Specialized Material & Interface Technology

Standard cables and generic busbar trunking systems reach their physical limits at currents exceeding 10,000 Amps. Furthermore, most off-the-shelf systems are restricted to AC applications. Vision®Electric Industrial Busbars are specifically engineered for both AC and DC high-current demands. We provide advanced material bonding designed for extreme performance:

  • Electrolytic Copper (Cu-ETP): With a purity exceeding 99.9%, available bare, or tin-plated, to ensure uncompromising conductivity.

  • High-Conductivity Aluminum (Al): The strategic, weight-optimized choice for large-scale power distribution.

We possess the engineering depth to manufacture massive conductor cross-sections, such as 120,000 mm² (186,000 kcmil) flexible aluminum busbars

High-Current Retrofit for a Leading Graphite Producer

The Challenge

A leading German aluminum manufacturer commissioned us to modernize a central busbar system. The goal was to significantly improve system reliability.  The main challenges lay in the technical implementation:

  • Complex assembly: Welding work performed under the constant influence of strong magnetic fields.

  • Tight schedule: The connection to the existing network had to be made during extremely short planned outages.

Our Solution

We provided turnkey project management that covered every phase from conception to handover:

  • Planning & Layout: Preparation of the complete detailed plan for a DC power distribution system (2 aluminum busbars, 600 x 120 mm each).

  • Implementation: Complete procurement of materials and professional on-site installation.

  • Precision craftsmanship: Performing specialized welding processes and integrating them into the existing infrastructure under challenging electromagnetic conditions.

The Result

The installation was completed on schedule and successfully. 

Thanks to the seamless commissioning, the customer’s high quality standards were maintained without interruption. 

The new busbar system now ensures a long-term energy supply for production and meets the highest standards for load-bearing capacity and stability.

Yes. Unlike many standard busways, which are optimized for AC, Vision® Electric Industrial Busbars are specifically engineered for AC and DC applications. This makes them the ideal choice for heavy industrial processes, such as hydrogen electrolysis, smelting, and large-scale battery storage systems.

We use high-purity electrolytic copper (Cu-ETP >99.9%) and high-conductivity aluminum. For systems requiring a mix of both, we use specialized explosively bonded copper-aluminum interfaces (Coppal) to ensure gas-tight, corrosion-free, highly conductive transitions.

Absolutely. Our systems are fully compliant with IEC 61439-1 and IEC 61439-6. This ensures that our industrial busbars meet the stringent safety and performance requirements of North American and international markets.
